Qantas Frequent Flyer works closely with their many business partners, such as Hilton or Avis, so frequent flyer members can earn and use points both on the ground and in the air. Unfortunately, the joint marketing services we provided to business partners had become a bit out of date, which left them feeling neglected. So we needed to remind our partners of the value of their alliance with QFF and how much in turn we value them.
To demonstrate this commitment, QFF built an online ‘Partner Portal’ to house all joint marketing materials for partners to easily access and bring the whole process up to date.
Our challenge was to get Senior Marketers at the Top 100 Partners educated and excited about the Portal, and importantly make them feel loved, and get everyone in their offices talking.
We wanted to give partners a taste of true first-class service. Each marketer received a leather presentation box, housing a limited edition, laser-engraved, red iPod nano. Each box was delivered by a first-class hostess, and Qantas pilot, who invited them to sit back, relax and watch their personalised ‘in-flight’ video. The video explained both how the portal worked and underscored Qantas Frequent Flyer’s new commitment to partners.
